About Me

Hi! I’m a Civil Engineering student and D1 athlete in Gymnastics at Arizona State University. Through internships in construction and transportation planning, as well as undergraduate research in materials engineering, I’ve developed a strong foundation in practical, data-driven problem solving. As a Division I gymnast at ASU, I’ve learned discipline, time management, and how to perform under pressure. These skills shape how I approach engineering, leadership, and service.

Quick highlights:

  • B.S. Civil Engineering, ASU (May 2026)
  • GPA: 3.73 | Six-time Dean’s List
  • Division I Gymnast, Arizona State University
  • Experience in construction, transportation, and materials research

Arizona State Gymnastics

As a member of Arizona State University’s Division I gymnastics team since 2022, I balance over 20 hours per week of training and competition with a rigorous engineering curriculum. Competing at the highest collegiate level has strengthened my time management, mental toughness, and teamwork. Being on this team has taught me so much about the person I am and doing things for something much bigger than yourself.

Highlights:

  • Division I Gymnast, ASU (2022–Present)
  • Scored in all 14 competitions in the most recent season
  • WCGA Scholastic All-American
  • Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll (2024, 2025)

Professional Experience

My professional experience includes internships and research roles that emphasize both technical accuracy and collaboration. I’ve worked directly with contractors, engineers, and researchers to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining clear documentation and communication.

Experience:

  • Core Construction — Field Intern (May 2025 – Aug. 2025)
    • Led the punch list for a $20M high school addition project, supporting timely closeout
    • Coordinated with 10+ on-site contractors to minimize delays
    • Tracked RFIs and uploaded as-builts in Procore
  • Kimley-Horn — Intern, Transportation Planning & Traffic Operations (May 2024 – Aug. 2024)
    • Improved design plans in AutoCAD and OpenRoads by resolving plan set comments
    • Developed cost estimation spreadsheets for ITS plans across four intersections
    • Collaborated across teams to align schedules and deliverables
  • ASU Materials Lab — Undergraduate Research Assistant (Aug. 2024 – May 2025)
    • Conducted 50+ tests using DSC, TGA, and XRD to analyze material properties
    • Maintained detailed experimental records and assisted with data interpretation
    • Awarded a $1,500 Fulton Undergraduate Research Institute grant for a self-designed concrete 3D printing project

Civil Engineering

My civil engineering experience spans construction fieldwork, transportation planning, and materials research.

Selected experience & skills:

  • Construction & field engineering: punch lists, RFIs, as-builts, contractor coordination
  • Transportation planning: plan review, cost estimation, traffic operations support
  • Materials research: DSC, TGA, XRD testing and experimental data analysis
  • Tools: AutoCAD, OpenRoads, Excel, PowerBI, MATLAB, Bluebeam Revu, Procore

Organizations

Service and leadership are central to who I am. Through student-athlete organizations and professional societies, I work to support my peers, engage with the community, and contribute to the future of civil engineering. These roles have strengthened my communication skills and reinforced the importance of using my platform to advocate for others.

Leadership & service:

  • Tip of the Fork — Leadership Development for Student Athletes
    • Volunteered at Phoenix Children’s Hospital through student-athlete outreach
    • Completed leadership, communication, and relationship-building workshops
  • Student Athlete Advisory Committee — Representative
    • Advocate for over 600 ASU student-athletes in university-level governance
    • Coordinate volunteering and community engagement events
  • North American Society of Trenchless Technology — Member
    • Conducting an independent study on AI applications in trenchless construction, focusing on asset management and as-built data analysis
